The Clarke families

The Clarke family element of this website takes in all those families on my father's side. This has been the most challenging and frustrating side of my family with dead ends and brickwalls to overcome or still to overcome. Whilst my mother's parents in the main came from defined areas of a single county, my father's forebears are much more diverse. One great Grandmother takes my journey to Essex, another to Sussex. Other branches take me to Bedfordshire. Elizabeth English nee Francis apparently takes me back to Kent around Gravesend, but which Elizabeth is she? The Pipkin's with their unusual name should be easy and likewise the Stratton's but they seem to have had a disliking for getting themselves recorded. Many conundrums remain on this side of the family and perhaps visitors and relatives visiting these pages may offer some solutions.
